Judith Tortora shows her enthusiasm for Weinstock, Friedman & Friedman, P.A. and its clients and employees by consistently taking on additional responsibilities to help develop clients and train and mentor other associates. One of the responsibilities she took on was to help develop and update the firm’s employee handbook, and to institute employee policies that make the workplace run more smoothly.
Fun Fact Tortora’s favorite movie is Iron Man 3 and she makes it a point to dance just about anywhere she can.
Tortora made history in 2014 when she became the firm’s first female partner since 1924. By breaking through that glass ceiling, Tortora paved the way for other women at the firm. Tortora has been a true mentor to many at Weinstock, Friedman & Friedman, and is a tireless leader and supporter of the attorneys and staff members. She is known for her open-door policy, and tries to be a role model for others at Weinstock, Friedman & Friedman in balancing her job, her community involvement and her family.
Outside work, Tortora is an active member of her community, serving on the board of the Theresa F. Trushel Charitable Foundation, as chair of the Metropolitan Issues Commission for the Baltimore Jewish Council, as well as chair of Beth El Religious School’s board.
