Knight Point Systems (KPS) provides IT services and solutions to federal and commercial clients. “A lot of what we do boils down to helping the government manage and deliver IT services better, faster and cheaper,” says president and CEO Bob Eisiminger. “Still, KPS has been fortunate enough to partner with the government in many citizen-facing, mission-oriented programs that create a positive impact on American citizens.” For example, the KPS team has partnered with Immigration and Customs Enforcement in communicating with American schools and universities in the post-9/11 period.
Words of Wisdom: “At the end of the day, a leader’s main job is to create an environment that allows others to do their best work every day.”
“KPS’ corporate culture can best be described as ‘vibrant,’” says Eisiminger. “We work in an environment where communication and collaboration are the norm, but so are outbursts of laughter, celebrations and friendships.” KPS employees are urged to stay current with ever-changing technology, and are funded to do so. In fact, the training budget at KPS has no cap, and employees are encouraged to learn a new skill or obtain a new certification every year.
At orientation, employees learn of KPS’ culture of giving back and are invited to submit their own ideas for supporting the community. The company also has a recurring philanthropy section in its quarterly newsletter to remind employees of the benefits of giving back.
