IT’S ALL IN THE NAME
Bottom Line Concepts, LLC helps clients improve the bottom line of their business by doing one of two things, says founder and CEO Josh Fox. “We can either go back in time, sometimes as much as 20 years, and look for refund opportunities in the form of a one-time payment. Or we can look forward in time at our clients’ future expenses. We look at 50 different line items, and if we save them money in the future, we keep a contingency fee based on the percentage of their savings.”
Quick Tip: “I think you really need to stay true to the company that you’re leading, and not divert your attention and your emotions to multiple different ventures at the same time.”
In trying to identify savings for clients, Bottom Line Concepts doesn’t typically bring on new vendors, but instead works with existing ones to reach better deals. “We’re not there to get their vendors fired,” says Fox. “We’re simply looking to use our internal benchmarking process, where we’ve worked with more than 1,000 companies and have collected the bills for most of them, that enables us to know where the clients should be in terms of pricing.” Bottom Line Concepts also makes a difference through its Line Up For Charity program. “We’re helping charities raise more money for their cause by being introduced to board members that are CEOs of companies. [After] getting hired by those CEOs, we take a portion of our contingency fee and donate it back to the charity,” says Fox.
