Happy Family Brands was founded with the mission of improving the way children are fed in the U.S., and the company’s team is united by a passion for this mission and a sense of purpose. “Since day one, I’ve surrounded myself with a team that’s intent on being a socially impactful company first and foremost,” says Shazi Visram. “When each member of your team lives and breathes your mission, they’re powered by a sense of purpose that naturally leads to innovation and trail-blazing.” The team takes on philanthropic endeavors such as building the first Happy Family Children’s Village in Tanzania, and partnering with Project Peanut Butter, which works to fight malnutrition in children. Internally, the company is dedicated to its “happiness standard,” which helps Happy Family stay focused on wellness, creativity and professional development.
“Every month, there are new team-building opportunities, from community outreach to wellness activities to professional development classes or workshops. Our team recently visited Brooklyn Grange, the largest sustainable rooftop farm in the country. In the spirit of health and wellness, we enjoy weekly Fitbit challenges, soccer and kickball games, team workouts and company runs.”
