Over 300 CEOs & decision-makers joined SmartCEO in honoring women business leaders
at this highly anticipated, high-energy celebration
Baltimore, MD (July 12, 2012) — Baltimore SmartCEO recognized the area’s top female CEOs at the 2012 Brava! Awards, which took place on Wednesday, July 11 at the American Visionary Art Museum. This year’s winners collectively generated $2 billion in revenue and employed over 5,000 people. Additionally, the 2012 Brava winners were profiled in the July 2012 issue of Baltimore SmartCEO magazine.
SmartCEO received over 200 nominations across the Mid-Atlantic for the award. A dozen Greater Baltimore business leaders formed the Brava committee and chose the 25 winners. For a complete list of winners, please see below. For more information on the Brava winners, visit www.smartceo.com to view the digital edition of the July 2012 issue.
“The 2012 Brava winners are an impressive group of women doing exceptional things for our community and beyond. They are the leaders of today and tomorrow — a highly talented group that has the drive to do great things. I am sure we will continue to hear of their success for many, many years to come,” says Craig Burris, founder and president of SmartCEO magazine. “We are honored to recognize such a group of women and their accomplishments.”
The winners were celebrated in style at the Baltimore Brava! Awards ceremony on July 11, 2012, at the American Visionary Art Museum. An impressive audience of friends, colleagues and family came together to celebrate the winners’ achievements. In addition, five past Brava winners were honored the evening of the event with their induction into the Brava! Hall of Fame. Angie Lienert of IntelliGenesis, LLC from the class of 2011, Marie Hartman of Hartman Executive Advisors from the class of 2010, Theresa Daytner of Daytner Construction Group from the class of 2009, Barb Clapp of Clapp Communications from the class of 2008 and Barbara Brotman Kaylor of Rooftop Communications, LLC from the class of 2007 received this honor.
The event kicked off with a high-level cocktail reception followed by an engaging, video-packed awards ceremony. The evening concluded with a toast eloquently delivered by Janet Amirault of Software Consortium. Over 100 articles of clothing were donated to support SmartCEO’s Baltimore Brava! Awards charity partner Success in Style, an organization which helps women and men in crisis in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor become self-sufficient and employed by providing suits and changing lives.
