Sam Garbia’s focus is to provide clients with long-term strategic planning and counsel to help them grow and compete in a rigorous market. “I represent a wide variety of companies and advise them regarding business structures, and internal and external corporate policies,” he says. “A lot of what drives our success is very much the fact that I am involved with our clients, not only from a legal standpoint, but also from a strategic standpoint,” he says. “It’s not just a matter of reviewing documents and giving legal opinions, but rather being there on the ground level.”

For example, last year Garbia helped a client double the size of its revenue by being on the ground and understanding the nuances of the client’s business. “My client had an opportunity that required an asset purchase agreement, closing, and a novation of a government prime contract within sixty days,” he says. “Because I was with the client in the moment, we were able to secure financing and close the deal, with government approval, in a short period of time. I think it is a very difficult thing for larger firms to do that because they don’t have the flexibility to quickly take on a  task like this.”
